Pied-de-poule

Saviez-vous que le motif Pied-de-poule était originaire d'Écosse ? Il apparaît au XIXᵉ siècle, porté par des bergers. Ce motif traverse les époques et devient présent dans la mode. Je trouve ce motif très chic et élégant. Il est aussi graphiquement intéressant, se rapprochant de l'art optique.

After many centuries the pattern started to be incorporated by the fashion industry. I think houndstooth pattern looks so chic and elegant but not only - its design can be related to optical art.
